I am currently watching Les Triplettes De Belleville. This is my favorite scene. I highly recommend you see this film, it is brilliant. The soundtrack is great, too.

Happiness is… Valentine’s Day!  I have always loved this holiday, single or not.  Like most things, the day is what you make of it.  You don’t have to buy the overpriced roses, the cliche cards, the teddy bears.  It is nice to have an excuse to shower our loved ones (romantic and platonic) with extra love, to revel in the love showered upon us and to witness complete strangers celebrating love too.

Happiness is… knowing that it’s Monday. And you don’t have to go to your miserable soul-sucker of a job that day.  In fact, you don’t have to go back there for another SEVEN days.

Happiness is… the sight of lanterns on a beautiful lake with the backdrop of a beautiful sunset.

Happiness is… a television moment filled with all sorts of Huxtable family and Stevie Wonder goodness.

[Sidenote: My boy and I watched this episode the other night and it made me smile to watch this scene again. A mega-combo of two of my favorites - the positive, adorable Cosby Show and the talented, inspiration Stevie Wonder.

We have been rewatching back-to-back episodes of every single season of The Cosby Show for months now.  I know it’s weird, but the two of us have been dealing with some hard times lately.  That show just radiates so much sincere positivity, laughter and love… that was something we both sorely needed.

And what more needs to be said about Stevie Wonder?  He’s one of music’s contemporary greats.  As overdone and overplayed “I Just Called…” is (and I admit, I can rarely listen to it myself anymore), the lyrics are clever and romantic without resorting to cliches.]
